And still more repair works

Despite the heavy hand barrows and high air moisture -
our boys keep smiling!

The floor for a big “dog house” had to be restored. Therefore we had to carry along enormous amounts of sand, because we wanted to raise the floor to a much higher  level.

I’m ALWAYS personally on the spot when tiles are being  laid, as I want to have them all laid in one direction. The Thais don’t care a pap for that! I couldn’t do other than putting a sign on one side of every tile: and then- as if by a miracle-
it worked out perfectly well in the end.
Two of our helpers are perfect floor tilers.

That’s the way people work in Thailand. Barefoot and - of course-  without gloves. My reminders, that this isn’t okay, do not bother anyone. What’s the use if I buy working boots and nobody wears them – or they can’t be retrieved anywhere?

Finally the new relaxing area for the dogs is completed.

Behind the wall is a drain for the waste water from the cleaning of the single boxes.

As you could see we had a lot of tidying , modification and construction work to do.

But even when this job isn’t always great fun, we’ve got to do it , nevertheless.

The Puppy house in the shelter of Ban Taling Ngam

Puppies, and puppies, and even more puppies.

No matter how many thousands of dogs we have neutered- there is a never-ending tide of puppies.

Last-minute rescue?

At first sight these pictures aren’t „nice pictures“.

That’s what Tirak looked like when he came to the shelter.

But this is a perfect „nice picture“

That’s the way he looked after a short time only!
