ATHENA (Female)

I gave birth to my puppies in a very nice and very expensive hotel. For my lovely kids it was no problem to hide underneath the bungalows while I was going on begging for food. At the beginning there were no problems. But when a few tourists complained about the puppies screaming, the trouble began. Brigitte from DRCS was given the following choice: Either she would pick us up or the people at the hotel would get rid of us. What that means should be clear: The gardener gets the order to get rid of the dogs - what ever way. In most cases the gardener gives delicious food which is filled with poison. If he is lucky, all dogs die before the tourists wake up in the morning. If not, the hotel is in trouble because the tourists don't want to be bothered with such a pitiful sight. Their vacation could be ruined. The tourists often don't know what consequences a complaint like that can have. Almost every time it means death or being brutally chased away by the gardener or a guard. After Brigitte has heard from us, she of course picked us up.

Great news: I found a new home on Koh Samui!

While I was staying at the DRCS, Bo from Stockholm in Sweden was looking after me. Thank you very much!
