AIDA (Female)

I'm happy to introduce myself and I hope one of you decides to sponsor me. My name is Aida and I have been at the Dog and Cat Rescue shelter for quite a few years now. I grew up here and have never known what life is like outside these walls. Sometimes when I see little puppies get adopted, when they look all happy and excited walking out of the shelter with their new owners, I wish that was me. On the other hand however, I see many dogs coming in here full of fear, injured, hungry, dirty or sick. That makes me wonder what they went through out there and what struggles they had to go through. That of course changes my picture perfect idea of the outside world and all I feel is gratitude to be here. Grateful to live in a safe environment without having to worry where my next meal comes from. The people at the Dog Rescue are my family and the other doggies my friends. Well, most of them anyway. The grumpy and aggressive ones I try to ignore or I just get out of their way. I've always made sure that I don't get into trouble with anyone here at the shelter. From a very early age on I had to learn and understand that negativity and disrespect towards humans and other dogs brings me nowhere. I was taken away from my mother when I was only 2months old. The Dog Rescue People found me abandoned just outside the main gate and I call the shelter my home ever since. Of course it would have been nice to be adopted like some other puppies were but instead of wishing I was somewhere else and dreaming about a happy life outside these walls, I rather use my energy to make the best of my life in here. That has been working well for me and I'm happy with my life.

Stephan from Germany wants to look after me in the future. Thank you very much!
