  DOGS  AND CATS

I was picked up wandering between Chaweng and Lamai. I had got fed up with the bitches in Chaweng and wanted some new talent. Unfortunately, Brigitte spotted me when she was en route to the big shelter. She captured me and took me there. However, apart from the injections (which Dr Joe has promised will make my hair grow back), it's OK here as there's plenty food, water and other dogs to romp around with.

After I had recovered completely I decided to take my life in my own paws again and ran away. While I was living at the shelter, Eva from Finland was looking after me. Thank you very much.

I was found by tourists on the very busy beach road of Chaweng. A small carton that was standing on the side of the road had become my las shelter. I was about 6 weeks old and was able to eat on my own. But there was no one who wanted to take care of me. Moreover, there were some dogs in this area. For small cats, encounters with street dogs are usually fatal. Most dogs are cat killers! The Thai people in the stores around hadn't seen me before and didn't want me. The two nice tourists took me to their hotel and made me a delicious dinner. The next morning they didn't know what to do with me. Lock me in the room? Let me run in the hotel garden? Take me to the beach? They found out that the DRCS doesn't only take care of dogs but also of cats. There I have been living for more than a year now. I learned fast how to get to Brigitte's heart and that's why I came back to the house after sterilization. I am one of her favorite cats. I think I am third at the moment - after JANA and FERRIS! Sometimes all three of us purr at her! 

After some time at Brigitte und Werner's house I decided to live my life on my own 4 paws again.

During my time at the shelter, Nina from Germany was looking after me. Thank you very much!

I was brought to the DRCS for an operation by my owner. He did not want that I would have puppies. He filled out the admittance card and promised to pick me up after one week. I was brought to a single box and did not get anything to eat or drink. The next day I was spayed and when I woke up there was food and water. I have waited for my owner but when he did not show up after 2 weeks and it was not possible to reach him, I was brought to one of the bigger compounds. There, I have been waiting now for my owner for many weeks.

Great news: I have found a new home on Koh Samui. While I was living at the shelter, Michaela from Göppingen in Germany was looking after me. Thank you very much! 

I was brought in with my siblings (Paula and Leslie) by Paula who lives on the island. She had found us on the street and couldn't look after us as her dogs wanted to eat us. So, she brought us here and we're quite happy. We are still together and we play in the cat room or outside in the special cat area.

Lucky old me - I've got a real home now and it's on the island. For the time I was living at Brigitte's house, Angelica from Sweden took care of me. Thank you very much! 

I lived for many years on a small beach between Chaweng and Lamai. However, I'm old now and the local people didn't want me any more, because I had a big biting wound. DRCS was told that everyone chased me away when I begged for rice. I was brought to Brigitte and Werner's house and am now sharing a compound with very old and sick dogs. Every morning, I have to check out the compound to make sure all is well. Because I am so old, none of the dogs bother me.

But it was very boring and so I run to the market again. At the moment I do not need a sponsor. When I need help, I'll come back to the shelter - I've done that already.

When I was very young, I adopted a tourist who fed and looked after me. She didn't want to leave me when she went home so brought me to the shelter. Originally, I was in a single box (I needed an operation) but I made so much noise that the volunteers let me wander around the main compound, where I now permanently reside. I love humans (not on toast!) and prefer their company to that of other dogs. So, it's me whom you will see first if you come to visit as I am always the first one to check out new visitors.

Good news: I found a new home and now live in the Netherlands. While I was living in the shelter, Sandra and Frank from Dillingen in Germany were looking after me. Thank you very much.

I was having a great time hanging round the Ark Bar in Chaweng - life was interesting as I spent the day chasing and biting Thai people. The people of the Bar deported me to Lamai but I outwitted them and returned to Chaweng and more people chasing. The people didn't seem all that happy to see me back and brought me to Brigitte who took me in. Now I live at the big shelter and, although there are big walls around me, and not a lot of Thai people to bite, I am happy to play with the other dogs.

The people from the Ark Bar couldn't forget me and found a new home on Koh Samui for me. That's great. Thanks to them a lot.

I was brought in from Chaweng Beach Road as there were claims that I was biting Thai people - it was only small bites! I was living quite happily there and was being fed by the local shopkeepers. One night, I got locked inside one of the tailor shops and caused 4000 Baht in damage as I chewed up his nice material for a bed! The next night, I got locked inside an internet cafe but I managed to chew my way out of the kitchen door at the back. Can't understand why they didn't like me so much after that. Anyway, I was brought up to the shelter but I only stay overnight when I feel like it; sometimes I sleep outside the compound, sometimes down at the market - wherever takes my fancy.

I am not looking for a sponsor in the moment, because I come and go like I want.
