WE DO HELP YOU

Please call me if there is an accident or if you happen to find an injured dog or cat

BRIGITTE 081 893 94 43 or 077 413 490

I speak German, English and Thai.

I'll immediately send you a helper from Ban Taling Ngam or from Chaweng - whichever place should be closer! Please stay with the injured or ill animal and try to comfort it until our helper will have arrived. We urgently  rely on your help!

Unfortunately it won't do to call us or to write us an email about having seen an injured animal in this place or elsewhere!

The injured animals do only rarely remain in the place described. Sick or wounded animals try to hide and are difficult to spot afterwards.

That's why I beg you intensely to stay with the dog or cat until our helper has arrived and can collect it for treatment. Depending on where you are staying, it may take the helper up to 30 minutes to meet you. Please be patient and wait for him for the animal's sake. It would of course be very helpful, if you yourself could take the animal to our shelter, either to Chaweng or to Baan Taling Ngam. Whatever is more suitable to you….

Chaweng shelter is open daily from 9.00 to 18.00 h.

Ban Taling Ngam shelter is open daily from 9.00 to 17.30 h.

Even outside these opening hours, we have got a helper ready to pick up ill or injured animals. The helper is trained for emergencies and knows what to do in case of poisoning, injury  and shock. He will perform the first aid required and the animal will be taken to the veterinary  the next day.

If you call me outside our opening hours, I'll give you the number of the emergency helper on duty. As our Thai helpers speak only very little English, you should try to find a Thai nearby who can explain to our helper where he can retrieve the dog or cat.

Getting to the Chaweng shelter (from the Beach Road)

If you are coming from the Chaweng Beach Road, head south until you reach the Chedi Spa (1) on your right (Family Mart at the corner). Turn right up the road after that (Sweet Corner (2) will be on your left) and walk 200 meters up to the fork in the road. Take the left hand fork (the 7-eleven (3) will be on your left) and walk up. You will walk past the Chinese Temple (4) (on your left) and the Motorcross Stadium (5) (on your left). 30 metres after the Motorcross Stadium on your right is a small road (with DRCS and ‘Will Wait Apartment’  (6) signs). Turn right up this road to the top and ignore the dogs behind the gate at the top (these are our neighbours’ dogs). Turn right into the graveled compound and our shelter is the first house on the left – our motorbikes will be outside and you will see a big yellow sign on the entrance gate. Please ring the doorbell. When you come in, please make sure the dogs don’t get out and close the gate behind you!

WHEN YOU ARRIVE WITH AN INJURED ANIMAL PLEASE RING AND WAIT AT THE ENTRANCE UNTIL A HELPER TAKES CARE OF YOU AND THE ANIMAL.

Getting to the Chaweng shelter from the main ring road

We are about 3,000 meters south of Tesco. You will see the Bank of Ayudhya (7) on the left (yellow building with yellow sign) and turn left just after that (opposite Dive Supplies (8)). Go down that road about 600 meters and you will see the signs for ‘Dow Seafood’ (9) then ‘Will Wait Apartment’ on the left. Turn left up the road with the DRCS and ‘Will Wait Apartment’ (6) signs. Go down the small road until the end.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE WITH AN INJURED ANIMAL PLEASE RING AND WAIT AT THE ENTRANCE UNTIL A HELPER TAKES CARE OF YOU AND THE ANIMAL.

Getting to the Ban Taling Ngam shelter from the north (Nathon)

Drive south through Nathon and turn right at the third set of traffic lights after Nathon – Route 4170 (1). Drive down that road approximately 4 km and you will go past the Elephant Gate (2) (on your right). Stay on the main road (i.e. don’t go through the Elephant Gate) and we are 800 meters after the Elephant Gate on the left (3). Go up the gravel path to the gate. You can open the gate and drive into the compound but please be careful not to let any of the dogs out. Close the gate behind you.                     WHEN YOU ARRIVE WITH AN INJURED ANIMAL PLEASE RING AND WAIT AT THE ENTRANCE UNTIL A HELPER TAKES CARE OF YOU AND THE ANIMAL. The bell is at the second gate!

Getting to the Ban Taling Ngam shelter from the south (Lamai/Hua Thanon)

Drive south through Hua Thanon and the road will take a sharp bend to the right. Follow this main road and turn left at the third set of traffic lights down Route 4170 (1).
